The company operates over 8,708 locations in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Walgreens is owned by Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. This parent company is currently the largest retail pharmacy in the U.S. and Europe, with over 13,200 stores in 11 countries. 

Walgreens Boots Alliance retail and business brands include Walgreens, Duane Reade, Boots, and Alliance Healthcare. Together, they form one of the largest drugstore chains in the U.S. Walgreens is a staple in the net lease investment market given the low risk associated with drugstore properties, its premiere visibility on cornered real estate, and its investment grade credit rating.
