- Private commercial real estate is currently approaching fair value as bond yields decline. Despite a deceleration in real estate fundamentals, they remain relatively robust. While debt costs have spiked, they have since cooled.
- Troubled assets on the balance sheets of banks have emerged as a significant concern, presenting an opportunity for alternative lenders to step in. The presence of these alternative creditors is putting permanent pressure on the bid-ask spread in the market.
- Looking ahead to 2024, the banking sector is expected to grapple with reconciling these assets on their balance sheets, leading to increased pressure to de-risk portfolios.

WHATABURGER CROSSES 1,000 LOCATIONS | QSR Magazine
- The latest milestone is the brand’s 1,000th restaurant, which will be shared between new corporate-owned Atlanta, Georgia, and franchise-owned Yukon, Oklahoma, locations, both opening on Tuesday, January 16.
- For those in the brand’s 14-state footprint, it will soon grow to 16 states with planned expansions in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Greenville, South Carolina.
- The burger chain plans to expand to 2,000 locations in the future.
